Hand made by the artist, this one off sculpture should be displayed on a flat surface or can be altered to be wall mounted. This work forms a quiet focal point to watch the light and shadows change throughout the day. The work consists of two pieces, the upper form is a soldered hollow construction whilst the lower form is a flat shape. Both forms are made from recycled (tin-lead alloy) organ pipes, the surfaces are then wire wooled, sanded and polished by hand to reveal a silvery grey finish. The concept was derived from natural forms together with the historical musical connections. The title refers to an imagined sound with which the material is inherently imbued.
