Art Description

Sculpture: Environmental, Found Objects, Acrylic, Plastic and Color on Canvas, Plastic, Soft (Yarn, Cotton, Fabric), Wood and Other.

Etiti Etiti (Center, center): Everyone strives to be the 'centre' of it all. Our consciousness of whom or what is observing us becomes the dictator of our very being. Etiti, etiti is a tale of my subconcious strife to maintain inherent stability, within the mirage of capitalism which claims to 'honour' (traditional) African forms - bodies, languages, intellectualism and so fort...much to my detriment than benefit.
It also become a mirrored journey for my viewer, honouring their moments of selfworth, acknowledging those elements of disruption in their existence and the trip to centeredness or calm...

Nothing is truely lost, even if it wants to be lost...
