The sculpture was born from the idea to reinterpretate the Flora or Spring of Stabiae and so the author has modelled it inspired by the famous painting. The New Spring of Stabiae was born exactly 1940 years after the painting was covered by the ashes of the Vesuvian Eruption of 79 AD.
