Bronze cast edition of a soldier waiting to go up the line prior to the somme battle of 1916. he wears full battle order and is contemplative. The sculpture was modelled from life using original equipment of the British Army in the First World War.

Full time sculptor . I trained in Winchester School Of Art then the Russian Academy of Arts in St Petersburg. Whilst in Russia i had the oportunity to work with the inheritors of the ir native monument tradition and humanist ideals. Proffessors Sveshnikov and Karnaev in particular influenced my evolving style. I work from life when possible. my maquettes often lean away from Realism towards Expressionism. Particularly interested in sculpting military subjects from history alongside ballet and equestrian. I am Based at the moment In Winchester ,UK. My works number in the collections of Bernie Ecclestone, Jim Mellon and Nicholas Lyndhurst.
