About The Artwork
My career was in automation engineering, building machines that make today's life civilized. I want my art to reflect the engineering of the past because of the undying commitment to function, quality and durability. The engineers, craftsmen and laborers poured the hearts and souls into their work knowing it was their measure, that which they would be judged for eternity. This piece is cut from cold rolled steel using a CNC plasma cutter. It was copper plated and patinated using exterior quality patina. It weights a hefty 27 pounds (12.25 Kg) and has functioning hydraulic cylinders.
