Art Description

Sculpture: Paper on Paper.

This original sculpture was created using my self-taught base fold and requires no adhesives to construct. The design and form are spawned from assembling 24 3x3x3 "Hexagonal" cubes that both intersect and sit parallel to one another. This specific artwork contains more than 2,500 sheets of hand folded 3" square paper. Upon completion I applied by hand a polyacrylic protective enamel paint to reinforce an already sturdy design. A gold overcoat gives the piece a monochromatic metallic finish.
