This artwork belongs to the artist's Giftless Bows series; one facet of "Pandemonium of Versatile Objects", Laurent La Gamba’s most recent project. This project explores mass production and consumerism and the role they play in formulating memories and identity, through the visual coding of celebratory gift bows. The Giftless Bows series presents gift bows without gifts. Each bow is displayed plainly and horizontally on a wall or on a plinth as an exhibit and is not attached to any particular function. In all cases the bows are stripped of their link to gift-giving. This original artwork is signed by the artist on the reverse and accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
