Hand of the Maker Sculpture

The Hand of the Maker is a maquette for a sculpture I created. It celebrates the ability that human beings have to imagine and to turn that vision into reality. This sculpture is offered as a cold bronze table top piece. The simulated stone display base as shown in the photograph is not included. Open edition. Options exist to have it made larger and in other materials. The sculpture takes the form of a stylised star that has fallen to earth where it has split open to reveal the imprint of a human hand. The shape of the star is a reference to the fact that many elements are created by exploding stars which means that all life and indeed all conciousness, is a product of the stars. The maquette is made from plaster which has been painted to replicate a bronze metal finish. In the centre is the imprint of the human hand in silver metal. The sculpture can be enlarged to any scale depending on the clients budget and requirements. It would look great carved from marble or bronze on a city street or fabricated in metal in the foyer of a corporate building or cast in bronze with a marble base on a tabletop. Turnaround from order to delivery will vary depending on material chosen and scale. A cold bronze resin tabletop sculpture would take about 3 weeks to produce and deliver.
