Hitler was hanging around contemplating world dominance Sculpture

The piece shows Hitler, consisting of a 1942 funfair Hitler face made for the public to shoot at with an air rifle, a human skeleton body and wearing ‘Bovver’ boots which depict the opening credits from the TV series, Dad’s Army. Hitler has been hung by wire from a gallows, the base of which represents the Star of David in respect to all the Jews who suffered under the Nazi regime. In the last days of the fall of Berlin Hitler simultaneously broke a cyanide tablet clenched in his teeth and discharged a single shot from his pistol, the barrel of which was resting on his temple. Such was the depth of evil that Hitler represented, this piece suggests that the lifeless body should also be hung just to make sure, as real evil never dies, it simply hibernates.
