“My philosophy is that art should touch life. It shouldn’t be something that you see once a year when you go to a museum” Born in 1944. An Israeli painter and sculptor. I have taken paintings and expanded them into 3D sculptures, taking the format to table, wall sculptures and public art pieces. Every piece is full of color and movement. I'm known for my brightly colored outdoor metal sculptures, many of them decorating city squares in Israel and around the world. My post-pop art style is characterized by bold-colored, multilayered cutout steel. This new innovative 3D sculptures hand painted has become my strong trademark, and many artists became followers in Israel and worldwide how embraced this technique. Over the past 3 decades, my monumental sculptures have gain recognition and won the love and appreciation of audiences and art lovers around the world. examples of my sculptures can be found in Singapore - an outdoor sculpture "Momentum" is Singapore's tallest public sculpture at the town's business district and spans 18.5 meters high. In London – a permanent sculptural installation - ('Roman warrior' is situated at Bromford, London.) Many of my public space Sculptures ornate Israelis important public pavilions and gardens, such as the public gardens of the Tel Aviv University, The Sculptures gardens of the Open Museum, in Tefen, Ra'anana Park, Ovdat and on the campus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and many other places. I regard myself self as a constant inventor, dreamer, creator, who never stops seeking new ideas, materials, and collaboration. Every day, (or almost) I draw in my sketchbook, thousand of drawings and many notebooks, all bare the core and the seeds of later on – monumental sculptures and paintings. I also take photos wherever I travel both in Israel and around the world. These photos reveal precious moments and experiences or ideas that caught my attention and surely help creativity to come to life later on in the studio.
