Owls are so complex. There are about 250 species of owls in this world and it was so difficult to decide on a certain species, let alone color and expression.

I wanted to capture a mischievous, yet grumpy look with those eyes.

Hello! My name is Toby Larson and I’ve always been involved with art in some capacity all my life. It was 1992 and I was a junior in high school that was getting burnt out with all the typical art, drawing, painting, photography etc. One day, I asked my art teacher if there was something else. He told me he would think about it, and a few days later, he brought me a chunk of oil based clay and that was it! I took to sculpting like a duck takes to water and I’ve never gone back! I have learned to sculpt, create silicone molds of my work, cast them in resin and/or wax. Each piece that I create is unique in that the paints and finishes will be different and no two pieces are the same. I take great pride in the quality of my work to ensure that you are receiving something special. I do mostly resin work, but have recently started to create bronze work with a local foundry in Eugene, Oregon.
