About The Artwork
This sculpture made of corten steel is called « Hula Hoop ». It was commissioned by Le Sirop de Monin for their headquaters in Bourges, France. The company is well known for its bottles of syrups. I enjoyed exploring various possibilities to represent the shape of the compamy's syrup bottle. Eventually I came up with this idea of integrating the hula hoop game into the image of the bottle. It makes it more evocative and light.
