I-O Türme (I-O towers) Sculpture

In a simplicity hides a beauty, in a beauty - a simplicity. So I just walked through the forest, and found different stones that for me contain exactly this kind of beauty. Every stone in nature is special and unique. In the course of the processing, a great deal of concentration and strength was required to keep the stones stable at the sewing machine. The whole process reminded me of the struggle between the human act of creation and natural resistance. With a chisel I was then able to hammer out the chosen pieces. On the contrary, a lot of sensitivity is needed and close listening is required with each stroke to give the material its final shape. If you take the stone objects in your hand to look at them at eye level, for example, you can let your imagination run free. Each individual object conceals within itself an entrancing attraction and peculiarity, just like any growing city of the XXI century. Noise, clamour, voices, speed, hustle and bustle, or silence in the deep of night with its shining street lamps as well as warm lights from house windows and streets shrouded in dense fog in the morning are what I interpret when I look at stone objects. With my object "I-O Türme" I show the viewer how the seemingly simple, banal and unused stones take on great interest through art. I want my work to make people think, to make them develop their curiosity and their emotions. It is my aim to illustrate whole worlds in these simple stones. Worlds of distant lands, great cities, towering skyscrapers and shadowy canyons.
