About The Artwork

Books are the tools of communication that have always been the custodians of knowledge and ideas; now replaced by digital texts that do not occupy a physical space, they are no longer objects to be perceived with other senses like touch and smell, they have become virtual codes without fragrance or form. It is to be noticed the areas of the brain activated while reading a physical and not a digital book are not the same, the result is that memory is used in another way, there is less retention of information acquired through digital reading. It happens in the same way with the handwriting now almost obsolete. This raises the question: what will happen to our memories when the transition will be completed? These impossible books become sculptural objects, impossible to read but by turning them into objects of art perhaps they will survive their implacable destiny which might be oblivion. The books come from the act of abandonment of others, every book is read for the last time and from it I choose a passage that I keep in an audio reading.
