About The Artwork
Women are the most used models for figurative works - not only because most of works have been made by men. With more curves females are easier to model than males. The original figurative figure was made in 2007 in burned clay. Later I have made silicone forms of front and back, and have casted full figures from the two halfs, and half ones, mostly of the backside. Casts have been made in paperclay (can be burned like normal clay, and glazed), and in different sorts of plaster - common or hard, and as here in a speciel sort of plaster, reddish, with iron, from Tiranti, London.

Between childhood and my children's childhood I nearly never was creative in this way. But then, when my children began to play with clay and plaster, I returned to the creative arts. First, I worked with and attended classes in clay figure modelling. Then I also worked with more or less abstract sculpture making in paper clay, wood, plaster, resins - and got occupied with mould making in silicones and castings in plaster and resins. Also, a few works of paintings. Born 1951. Living in central Copenhagen, Denmark.
