ABOUT THE ARTWORK
A hand carved egg shell designed to give the impression of two layers where only one exits, both intertwining with one another. As with all my designs great care is taken to maintain symmetry and accuracy in all detail as any mistake is non-reversible and unmaskable. The tool I use is a handheld micromotor drill with diamond bits. The stand as shown in the pictures is made from warthog tusk and is included with the egg. Thank you for viewing my work.

I am a self taught artist who began carving ostrich egg shells while working with my father making souvenirs for his shop in Oudtshoorn South Africa, the ostrich farming capital. I soon began to experiment with my own designs during my spare time in hopes of marketing them to the international art community.
