ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Silence and enchanting magic of the depths.... I present to your attention a work created by me in the year 2023, called “People of the Sea”. Dolphins are people like us living on earth, only they are devoid of human vices. Good-natured, sometimes funny, these creatures are very inquisitive and always show interest in people. People take advantage of their gullibility, unfortunately, sometimes for bad purposes ... This wall bas-relief was created in support of such rare animals on our planet. The gorgeous dolphin sculptures in bas-relief are made of metal using electric welding and subsequent sanding. I also added a gorgeous flame finish to give the figures a distinctive oceanic hue. I tried to capture the image of the animals in the sculpture with all the anatomy and plasticity of moving dolphins underwater as realistically as possible! The ocean comes alive with a stunning range of colors created with epoxy resin by multiple pouring. A sturdy metal chain is welded to the back of the bas-relief for wall mounting. This wall bas-relief would make a great addition to any collection or a thoughtful gift for someone special. Electric welding.... This is my love!!!! Melting metal is magic! Magic that brings results is not always predictable, but in any case interesting. Viewers rarely think about how much effort and labor was invested in creating the sculpture. They don’t see all this noise, dust, scraps of metal, heat from burning metal, burns, blinding eyes; it’s difficult for them to imagine the whole atmosphere in which works are created. But the work always succeeds, because I do it with love for noise, for warmth, and I don’t want anything else! The image technique, of which I am the author, combines three components: embossing, electric welding, epoxy resin. Embossing is about shape and volume. Electric welding is all about texture and texture. Epoxy resin is depth. When I prepare a work for pouring resin, it is an exciting moment, as the final stage is approaching and the audience will soon see the work. And their assessment of their work is important to me!
