About The Artwork
This work consists of a number of miniature sculptures depicting islands of various forms. While creating the islands the artist became aware of the resemblance they bore to parts of a deconstructed statue. She aimed to create a surface and texture that resembled marble and the erosions and transformations that it undergoes over time.

I was born in Athens, Greece and have also lived in the USA, the UK and Spain. My current residence is Athens, Greece. I have studied Contemporary Art Practice, Art Psychotherapy and Psychology. I am also a co-founder of Syn Festival Edinburgh. I have participated in group exhibitions in Athens, Edinburgh and Barcelona. I held my first solo exhibition Empty Questions? at It's A Biλατζ in Athens. I work with collage, photo-manipulation, and assemblage.
