Mixed Media ‘wreath as art form’ constructed from a base of recycled wine corks, acrylic-painted wood, metal & cork, covered in a themed mixture of glass, crystals, lamp work beads and semi-precious stones.
I am inspired by nature and especially those aspects of nature that are threatened by extinction. People don’t talk as much about the disappearing rain forests as they used to, but it’s still something I worry about. I worry that all we will have left of our rain forests, and disappearing wildlife will eventually only be images of them. I hope that people will not only find this piece whimsically amusing, but also be reminded that the jungles of old are disappearing at a rapid pace.
