ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The steel sculpture "Knight on Guard" loosely follows my previous silhouette and figural stylizations. However, the overall tone is different both in the form of stylization of the body and the focus on the small details that are decisive for the artwork and which are characteristic of the image of a knight. The theme itself, the figure of a knight on guard, is not an image of a warrior, but a knight for whom honor and pride were something for which he was willing to die. The theme is the guardian of honor, loyalty and honesty. An old rusted sheet metal is used on the body, which is partially embossed so that the surface sculpture is completed by shadows. The other parts are forged. The sculpture is signed on the base.
