Hervé All - Le Hasard Roi, Installation, Aluminium, sable brûlé, medium, H 3 m x Ø 4 m, Ed. 1/1 2015 Watch casting process : https://vimeo.com/140532799 More to the Biennale of Lyon 2015 and Hasard Roi installation (French) : http://2015.labiennaledelyon.com/uk/resonance-eng/venues-resonance-eng/lyon-1-eng/banque-cic-eng.html An anecdote : A 24-year-old construction worker survived after a 6-foot metal bar fell from above and pierced his head while he was working on a construction site. The story takes place in Brazil in 2012. The bar fell from a building floor through his head out between his eyes and file in the ground. The man is conscious and emerge unscathed. The Myth of Sisyphus by Albert Camus (1942) inspired the name of the sculpture. « I can negate everything of that part of me that lives on vague nostalgias, except this desire for unity, this longing to solve, this need for clarity and cohesion. I can refute everything in this world surrounding me that offends or enraptures me, except this chaos, this sovereign chance and this divine equivalence which springs from anarchy ». A polysemic work : Le Hasard Roi goes far beyond the artistic transposition of a fact. It addresses the issue of transformation and alchemy of the body, question the human position in the Universe, spirituality and cosmology. synchronicity "... The development of radio in the late nineteenth century led, at that time, parapsychologists suggest that some electromagnetic waves emitted by the brain could be the channel of a transfer of information between an unconscious and another unconscious. in 1952, Carl Gustav Jung and the physicist W. Pauli offer an explanation of synchronicity, which can be defined as a "SIgnificant Fate." synchronicity involves temporal coincidence of several events without causal link between them. This type of phenomena also join the idea of quantum mechanics that "causation is not statistical but an axiomatic truth" These exceptional emerging phenomena of deterministic framework would be the expression of a hidden order of the universe. yet, the unconscious according to Jung is also an offshoot of this hidden order.
