About The Artwork

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me! anutu-studio@protonmail.com "Life is Fragile" Polytonal Sculptural Wall Installation This one-of-a-kind work is part of my Eco Aware series of sculptural installations. Nature is our mother. The thin thread that tries to keep nature still in balance threatens to tear. Let's look around, if we don't act together now and everyone does what is possible, it's too late. Exactly this thin thread and the threatening chain reactions I try to explore with this work. In the traditional view, the will is the capacity for choice or decision by which we determine what actions we will perform. In the sense of decisiveness, the will is naturally considered to be that point at which we exercise our freedom of action, that is, our control over how we act. It is only under our control or up to us what actions we perform because we have the ability to decide what actions we will perform, and it is also up to us what choices we make in this regard. We exercise our freedom of action by way of freely chosen decisions about how we will act. From late antiquity on, many philosophers took this traditional conception of the will very seriously and developed it further as part of a general theory of specifically human action. To treasure the ordinary, and respect the eccentric, whatever is made out of caring, embrace it. In the past I learned how to get out of my comfort zone frequently. I love to be astonished by my own work. I don't want to sound snobbish in any way, but I truly think that cultivating this inner source of inspiration brings freedom to an artist. Allowing to observe my inner core, with all, truly and honestly, all consequences, is important in my eyes. Observing this core without letting the ego intervene or distract.  I upcycle, reuse and repurpose. In my eyes it is not only important what energies my paintings and sculptures carry into the world, but also to protect life and nature whenever possible! I love to break time worn wood panels into pieces. I have no control of the format, shape, and no control of the edges. - this way I transform the destructive energy into something beautiful. I don't hide the broken edges, don't cover imperfection. Imperfection is a vital part of life. I have suffered from violence and transformed all what has happened to me, over the time, into love. As long there is love in our hearts, we all have it in our hands ... it's deep in our hearts. One result of Jacob’s artistic research: Polytonal Art Jacob's polytonal paintings have a sculptural character. Multiple levels of information result from the inclusion of the broken edges of the wood in the overall composition. With appropriate illumination, a further level is added by the deliberately staged play of the resulting shadows. This sculptural, polytonal wall installation is ready for hanging. All my pieces are fully signed on the back. (If you wish an additional signature on the front, this is gladly possible on request, please provide a note when ordering). Fine high quality materials such Golden artist paint products are used. These work comes ready to hang with hanger included. The official catalog raisonné number is always noted on the back. Likewise, the title and year of creation are recorded on the back. A certificate of authenticity is attached to each work and includes a list of used material. Kindly note: This sculptural installation is created from worn mid century drawer panels and does not come framed, however the paint continues on the edges of the wood that already has a unique shape that frames the artwork. Therefore framing is not necessary or recommended. This sculptural installation is ready for hanging. Please contact me if you have any questions about this or any other one of my paintings! Please connect with me also, if you wish to see more photographs, this is gladly possible. I am always happy to assist. Thanks a lot for your interest in my work Sincerely, Jacob © 2021 JVS Original Artwork - All rights reserved.

What remains is the love and kindness in my heart, which I cherish like a treasure. Whatever happens in life, the beat of our hearts decides the path. The essence of unity is reflected in my art. I travelled the world in search of my family and eventually achieved the healing of generations through my relentless search and longing to reunite my family on two continents. By nature I am actually rather shy and very sensitive. I love to support others. Love to speak about unity, about love, and all the wonders I witnessed on my journey around the world. I am grateful you are interested in my work. Art is my life. My work features small, medium, large and also extra large scale paintings on a very wide variety of surfaces. I use canvas, paper, wood, and several nonconventional surfaces such as time worn wood, vintage papers, and antique textiles, and metal findings that I have collected over the years during my travels. I often paint with tools that I have developed myself or use unconventional ones. At times I refuse to use brushes and painter's knives and use only things from everyday life in an adapted form to create my art. My sculptural works feature beach wood, textile surfaces in combination with colored resin, and a selection of antique findings.
