What interests me in the sculptural work obsesses me is working interiors, these moments in suspense, these moments that escape us. Freeze in the mass the qualia these intuitions and other subjective, sensory effects that accompany many of our mental states. My approach is none other than the search for abstract evidence, that which will fill my interrogations of the present moment. Each creation is just a series of questions that these forms and metal answers offer me.

M.P.C.E.M. Mouvement Pour Corps Et Mental Movement for Mind and Body Mind and Body constitute the elusive duality that nevertheless forms the basis of our being, where mind cannot exist outside of body. Sculpture is in the third dimension of reality, it returns to the primordial spiritual birth, when a body was simply matter at the dawn of its life. It captures the instant where a world of sensuality is born and extricates the surge of life as a singular event, an objective world of sensation. Sculpture is learning to see again. In sculpture, what interests me to the point of obsession is working on the inner aspect, the suspended moments and elusive instants that we cannot pin down, the attempt to solidify in matter the qualia, intuitions and other subjective consciousness that accompany many of our mental states. My method consists simply in seeking abstract evidence that will satisfy my immediate questionings. Each creation represents the process of providing answers in form and metal to a series of questions. Paul Klee notably said, ‘An artwork is its own genesis’, and we are the actors in this third dimension defined by form, the smell of steel and the body steeped in the underlying meaning of things, willing to experience its own manner of perception. All we need do is accelerate the motion of all living things, collect the images of matter and surrender ourselves to the life of form and colour. Then the artwork can break free from the chains of any link with the outside world and open to aesthetic experience and world vision.
