Longing Sculpture

I am a visual artist with a penchant for memories past and times gone by. Through my work, I go on journeys to explore all that is beautiful, meaningful, inspiring, pinching or even lost forever. As someone inspired by the history, I collect objects and memorabilia that work as a canvas for me and are often featured in my work. I did my Bachelors in Fine Arts from the Visual Studies Department of Karachi University in 2011, majoring in Contemporary Miniature. My final year thesis work was published in the acclaimed Nukta Art magazine in 2012. Over the years, I have successfully exhibited in numerous, renowned galleries in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. I also took part in an art project titled ‘W-11 Tram’ initiated by the Australian artist Mick Douglas in 2011. I have also been fortunate to get an opportunity to be a guest lecturer at the Artchowk Gallery Karachi.
