ABOUT THE ARTWORK
MASK was created for an exhibition I held in 2016 titled 2D or not 2D. It is stained in various tints. At the exhibition one wall of wall mounted pieces were painted and pieces on another wall were stained. The painted works were 'trapped' under a veneer of paint whilst the stained pieces were augmented in hue but retained the visual impact of their substrate.
