About The Artwork
This sculpture is based on Rafaello Monti's veiled lady #3 which is located at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, USA. The marble used came from the region of Kozani in NW Greece. Kozani marble is milky white with gray undertones, punctuated by an occasional streak of any of a number of different colors. The veiled lady and the cylindrical base which it stands on are a single piece of marble. They are not artificially connected in any way.
