Art Description

Sculpture: Paper on Paper.

This geometric paper-sculpture contains exactly 1500 sheets of hand folded 3inch square paper and requires no adhesives to make. I used my self-taught interlocking fold which provides a structural stability that is incomparable with other base folds. The form is essentially an assemblance of cubes within a 9x9 cubic grid. The final product reveals a unique geometric design that creates intricate patterns and negative spaces. This sculpture is a perfect cube and symmetrical from all 6 surfaces, 8 corners, and 12 edges.
