About The Artwork
A long, black braid of articifial hair goes through pages of an empty childhood photo album. The braid directly relates to my Indian-born paternal grandmother, whom I remember always having a long braid. My grandmother had Alzheimer's, although I always felt like her smile proved that she recognised me. The pages of the photo album are empty, yet upon close inspection, the yellowed pages reveal rectangular voids where photographs, proof of memories, once were kept safe.
