This work is the conjunction point between the beauty of the subject, the magic of the algorithmic generative art and one of the most traditional art craft technique: the embroidery. Let the Brazilian Bombshell’s iconic image of Carmen Miranda, her expressive eyes and vibrant smile, continues reverberating through this not so conventional portrait.

Marco Lucini is an artist based Brianza (Lombardy - North Italy), we can call Brianza the land of lakes, in fact in this area among Lecco, Como and the northern part of Milan we find the largest number of lakes in Lombardy. Brianza is also where Leonardo da Vinci lived for a long time. Marco Lucini was born in Milan, Italy in 1971. Marco began to make art at the age of 16. During his studies at the University of Architecture in Milan, he was mainly focused on experimenting with various materials and techniques. Today Marco's work takes place between both traditional and contemporary practice, summing the strengths of both digital and traditional, resulting in hybrid techniques.
