Sculpture: Resin, Marble, Clay on Other.
Derived from a sublime medley of musical characters, the idea for this sculpture arose when the artist noticed forms of visual beauty within orchestral notes and symbols. Melody in music can be shaped and curved, just like beauty in the various visual artforms. This specific artwork interprets the tonal beauty of classical melody, and uses it to conjure up an organic combination of curvilinear bends and convex surfaces. Sharing elements from another artform, it becomes a bridge into the visual discovery of appreciation for foreign passion. Its distinct curves descend and ripple into a thin, lace-like structure that gives the musically-themed piece its quaint appeal.
This indoor art piece is a cast-marble, limited, numbered edition (1/8) sculpture by the artist, Kylo Chua.
