About The Artwork
Just right after birth, the mother and the child are looking for each other instinctively. This connection is like a river of emotions that doesn't stop and flows towards the child, helping the child to learn what love is. My spouse and my child were my inspiration for this work. Witnessing the birth of my first child and observing the development of their beautiful relationship led me in pursuing a way of expressing this feeling. This sculpture is carefully handcrafted in walnut wood and green guatemala marble.
