Mrs Dalloway Sculpture

A sculpture made out of two Mrs Dalloway books written by Virginia Woolf. These two books were donated to the artist, and inside them there were numerous markings and readings of the text. Both the text itself and the readers reaction to it influenced the visual presentation of the sculpture. The reader displayed both confusion and fascination with this modernist piece, ad this is almost represented by the hap-hazard collaging technique. Moreover, Woolf's writing style is embodied through the explosive colors and repetitive use of characters names as to highlight Woolf's use of the stream of consciousness technique. As a result, both the presence found objects and literature influenced this piece.
