ABOUT THE ARTWORK
These Muttonchop Foxes are inspired by Victorian clothing and ancient Egyptian sculpture, partuculary devotionals. I hope that they will inspire a sense of wonder and curiosity, with enough gaps for the viewer to fill in with their own imagination. The medium I use is a special type of local New Zealand clay with a certain amount of "give" to it which is reinforced with steel wire armature on native wood bases for the sake of convenient display and handling.
