ABOUT THE ARTWORK
It is extremely rare to find a piece of birch bark that is not in small pieces, let alone wrapped around and through. The lines of stress trying to fracture it are quite visible. The three brass supports represent the physical form, the flow patterns and the colors combining together to showcase Mother Nature's artistic abilities. It required very careful carving to clean out the inside pieces without breaking the form.
