About The Artwork
Part of my Winged Messengers collection. These sculptures are inspired by the Cabinet of Curiosities and my many trips around the British Museum. I work with old toys junk things I have collected over the years and wonderful car-boot sale items. re purposed and assembled into archetypes and characters from our legends and myths. This piece is an homage to a very British symbol. The statue of Eros in Piccadilly Circus. It stands 28 inches high and has real wings.

I am a practicing Artist who live and works in Somerset England. In my painting II work with mixed media, utilizing collage derived from digital paintings and found images. I use both Oil and Acrylic paint. In my 3 dimensional work, I use found objects. re-purposing assemblage and recycling. I am interested in the way that legend and myth is woven into our modern identity. I love having visitors at my studio in rural somerset. In between Stonehenge and Glastonbury only a few miles from the A303.
