Art Description

Sculpture: Metal, Stone, Kinetic, Wood on Steel, Stainless Steel, Stone, Wood.

Largely inspired by desert landscapes and modern architecture with their stark outlines and clean color pallet. The sculptures express motion through both their static elements, such as the twisted veneer sheets and their moveable parts, which are the kinetic elements powered by air-flow.
The veneer's outline and wood grains give the illusion of movement in the same way various canyon rock walls do having been carved out by long periods of moving water.
The kinetic elements are simple, like a constellation of orbiting planets they dance around the veneer and help distort the viewers perspective.
