About The Artwork

Patrizia Gucci is a granddaughter of the Gucci brand founder and has a background as a designer for the fashion house sharing her family’s name. She joined the Non-Violence Foundation as an ambassador and has made her very own unique interpretation of the knotted gun. Her version of the knotted gun finds inspiration in her homeland Italy and by contemporary fashion, such as the butterfly used by the fashion brand her great grandfather started in 1921. "I love nature and took inspiration by Tuscany landscapes. The bird I designed on the sculpture, brings the branch of olive, symbol of Peace. The butterfly is a symbol of freedom. Flowers represent the nature. Everything is in a good balance and respect. In the nature, we have peace and respect for each other." - Patrizia Gucci. The 40cm sculpture is hand-painted resin in Limited Edition of 199. It comes with the certificate. Available in 4 sizes: 19cm length x 6cm width x 15cm high - edition of 499 30cm length x 9cm width x 21cm high - edition of 299 40cm length x 13cm width x 26cm high - edition of 199 100cm length x 27cm width x 85cm high - edition of 29
