Pink Arrow Sculpture

Pink Arrow is a wall hanging sculpture made from appropriated found collected recycled plastic discards. I collect color and shapes that I then organize into my palette of art materials. I re-assemble these pieces into sculpture I call this series plastic constructions. While the concept behind my work is environmental, a comment how we are polluting our world. My approach to using these materials is more as a painter. Although I don’t buy paint to make my brush strokes, instead I find my brush strokes and I use them “as is”, like a puzzle. The objects are fastened together using recycled stainless steel wire. One word that describes this process for me is integration. Pink arrow is about being struck by love and the circular interconnectedness of that emotion.
