ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This work was first conceived during a safari, when I had my first encounter with a real hippo. The vastness of these createres lingered on in my mind and I couldn't help but imagine these animals performing unlikely practices such as acrobatics and dancing. This amused me to such an end that I decided to make these sculptures; I hope it makes you smile too. The choice for solid bronze perhaps couldn't be more fitting.
