About The Artwork

A time based installation turned sculpture that I executed back then in 2013...As one form deconstructs during burning, another hollow one emerges from beneath that is the barbed wire. These empty shells depict being deprived of a soul or inner being. The posture in which they are bowing in glistening contemplation is alluring and vacant to the same extent, questioning modern beliefs and ideas ranging from religion to nationalism in connection to individual identity, social awareness, spirituality and exclusion.. I say it's depiction of man's soul as helpless and mortal.
