About The Artwork

"Raising from the void a dying star reborn living ashes, glorious dust Beyond time or matter she's her own abyss gravitating towards the center of the Universe with precision of a ritual dancing blood on her invisible wings..." This very personal artwork is inspired by a poem of mine written above. Performed in mixed media (sculpture, painting, textile etc.). It displays a female figure in an exalted resurrection posture, she's the Dying Star who is getting reborn like a Fenix from her own ashes because she contains the stardust inside of her... The base of this art piece is a 7mm thick wooden board, size 34x28 cm (13,5x11 inches) painted in black and gold with lace texture. It has a ring for hanging on the reverse. The figure is completely hand sculpted in La Doll modeling clay and smaller parts like her hands are made in Fimo. 29 cm (11,5 inches) high. She's painted and varnished. Her face is painted in white gold that shines depending on the light contrasting with her matte body. Her long hair is made of high quality artificial fiber. She wears a crown of black fabric roses. The "stardust" coming out from her interior are little shiny rhinestones. The reverse of the arwork contains the poem written on an aged paper and signed by the author and the year of creation.
