About The Artwork

The tryptic “Re-Construction” was created in Barcellona. Inspired by the technique of Trencadís, often used by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudì: recycled fragments of ceramic, randomly broken are put together again to create a coherent art piece. The creative act reverses the course of entropy by giving a new life to beautiful broken materials that would have became trash and be destroyed. The artist performs an alchemical transmutation of the matter, creates a new unity out of a bunch of fragments and gives them a new meaning.
