About The Artwork
This piece is inspired by the works of 1970s feminist artists. The objective is to subvert how traditional crafts are represented as feminine crafts and not Fine Art. The piece is made from pvc which is sewn into long tubes and then knitted with giant handmade knitting needles. This piece comes ready to hang in the box frame. I started making pvc knitted pieces in 2005 whilst undertaking an MA in Fine Art.
