About The Artwork
I used my love for the ballet and connection with wonderful people in the world of dance as my inspiration for this piece. I felt at ease shaping steel bands in a twirling design by twisting the steel to represent the fluid motion of a dancer. Juxtaposing the rigidity of steel with the soft delicateness of a dancer, this sculpture gives an exciting new feel to the expression of dance.
