About The Artwork

Red Neon Orb is one of the largest neon sculptures I've made and my first with red neon. In this piece have only used two bars of metal; I've tried to refine and simplify my use of line but maintain a sense of movement that's so important in my work. I have mounted the piece onto a stainless steel plinth so the viewer has a lovely mirrored image of the piece and the plinth's surroundings. The sculpture has a waterproof transformer which means it's suitable to display outdoors. The current stainless steel plinth is a table-top plinth; a floor standing plinth could be fabricated at an additional cost.
