About The Artwork
Throughout the British Isles the grey squirrel has dominated the previous habitat of the red squirrels. The Isle of Wight still retains it native population, they are a delight to watch. Scampering up the trees, taunting the dogs, cats and annoying people with bird feeders as they ingeniously find yet another way to raid the bird food. As a child one became friendly as I fed my rabbit and finally would crawl over my jumper if i put enough rabbit food on me. I still stop to watch and admire them and hope that you enjoy this this posed Red Squirrel being curious.
