Art Description

Sculpture: Fabric, Environmental, Metal, Ceramic, Paint on Canvas, Paper, Soft (Yarn, Cotton, Fabric).

Part of my Salvage series. The starting point for this piece of work was a discarded skull found in the woods.
It is a bas-relief abstract mixed media. This work has been described as a cross between sculpture and painting with a look of ceramics.
The impetus to create art comes in itself from an unceasing urge to produce inspirational pieces from life's detritus, the discarded and considered worthless items. Plus the challenge to create works of art from these throw away items.
