Seafoam Sculpture

This piece is made from a section of wood, hand painted and decorated with felt, stitch and wire. The wood is reclaimed from another piece of furniture. This is a one off piece inspired by the place I work; St Ives, Cornwall and is intended for ornamental display. The beautiful blue and turquoise waters around St Ives have been an inspiration for artists for decades. The hand stitched french knots add detail and texture and the wire adds some shimmer and sculptural detail. Measures 10.5 x 8.5cm (not including wire and thread overhang) The sides are painted blue in keeping with the front. I try and recycle materials when I can before buying new. The shipping weight is the actual weight plus a little extra to cover packaging materials.
