About The Artwork
Most recent addition to my ongoing The Art of Prostitution series are my lip prints on a skewer. This particular piece is about our desperate need to not be alone and the resulting stash of variations on the same experience that we accumulate. The Art of Prostitution project was born out of conversations I've had with artists selling work on NYC streets. The work many are selling openly panders to their idea of what sells. Effectively these artists are prostituting themselves in a dishonest fashion.So I decided to sell art with my body parts to prostitute myself openly as a commentary on the aforementioned practices. When I sell these bottle sculptures on the streets I am the pimp, the work is the prostitute, and the collectors are the johns. Sold in compositions of 5 bottles. Limited edition of 100 bottles total. This is set 2 out of 20.

I let the animals out of the zoo...take art from installation to integration allowing you to infringe on the margins. My art is an attempt at skin on skin contact with all of human kind. It's me, naked, in the middle of Times Square. The more naked you allow yourself to be, the better it will feel. By integrating function into my artwork, I coerce you into engaging with it daily. This collapse of space between art and life is a bullying tactic with equal measures of enlightenment and entertainment. It's a spank that feels good because it makes you come alive. As you might have guessed, I live in NYC, where I weld and and photograph and paint. Occasionally, I volunteer my time as a city mascot by generously posing for tourists on the streets of this great city that too enjoys inflicting a hard spank on all who dare to scale its walls.
