ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Imagine the sound of the sea. The sound that you can hear when you listen to a shell, touching it to your ear. The noise of sand rolling back in deep water, … by waves which carry small rocks to shore, pieces of glass, ceramic, branches, polished by the sea and the remains of shellfish. Each one of such things had a first shape which was transformed by nature into something new. Their lines are perfect, beautiful, without any sense or meaning when perceived at first sight… until you start looking. This is the first of nine castings. It is possible to make another cast with a different color of patina.

Bogdan Tkachuk
Ukraine
Bohdan Tkachuk is a Ukrainian sculptor. The first works began to appear in the art school in Odessa. At the same time, he participated in joint exhibitions and musical events. After completing his studies in 2015, he moved to Lviv to study at the Academy of Arts. During this time, he participated in exhibitions and sculpture symposiums. In 2017 a sculpture composition "Mozart" was installed on the facade of one of the buildings of a residential complex in Odessa. He was one of the participants of the "Sculpture Expedition" to the Optimistic Cave in 2018. In the same year, he participated in the sand sculpture festival in Odesa. After completing his studies in Lviv, he moved to the city of Wroclaw in Poland, where he currently works in the art workshop of Grzegorz Lagowski. He is the co-author of most of the works performed from 2019 to the present. Some of his sculptures are in museums and private collections in Ukraine, Poland and Germany.
